Receive time-sensitive, localized alerts directly from the police authority.
Swivel is designed to put your safety first and to help keep you out of harm’s way. The name is based on the concept of “keeping one’s head on a swivel”, to be vigilant and aware of one’s surroundings.
Swivel is a mobile app that receives localized alerts, that are time-sensitive directly from the authorities. If there is an incident near you, you’ll be automatically and expediently alerted. No bias, no opinions or comments, no social media noise. Information straight from a trusted source to help keep you out of harm’s way.
Swivel is a free app, with no user fees and no advertising. It will soon be available for download from the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.
The app is part of a comprehensive and fortified platform for public safety and well-being created by the Public Safety Council Corp. It was developed to support a whole-of-society approach to public safety without compromising privacy rights or civil liberties.
Swivel’s advanced alerting system is the most comprehensive, ultra-secure, automated and localized alerting system in the world. The Public Safety Council Corp developed the Swivel Public Safety Platform to help authorities improve communication, efficiencies and outcomes. One app provides seamless coverage among all participating jurisdictions.

You will receive alerts based on your settings, such as incident radius and selected incident categories.
Your Swivel app will add alerts to the list of incidents and plot them on the map.
If the incident is near a chosen address of interest, it will notify you based on your settings.
Nothing.
In fact, we don’t even know who you are. Your address, and chosen My Spaces and addresses of interest, are associated with your phone. We don’t have any records associating your phone with you.
Our goal is to provide you with a functional tool that will help to keep you safe. This goal is shared by the police authority and any participating key community stakeholders. We all support a whole-of-society approach to public safety and well-being, without compromising your privacy rights or civil liberties.
